Social Engagement

We believe we were created for relationships as we all desire to feel connected to others… to share laughter, hurts, joys, and just life.  Therefore, journeying together is an essential element of our church that we deliberately call Social Engagement.  The Social Engagement Team provides opportunities for people to get together, form new friendships and build existing ones in a variety of ways:

• We have large group events about once a month. Some highlights have been a church picnic with lunch and relay races, Thanksgiving meal, Soup and Bun lunches, Valentine’s Bowling night out with childcare, Christmas program and lunch, a Mother’s Day breakfast, and a Father’s Day BBQ with donuts for Dads.  Check out the church calendar to see what’s coming up next!
• Life Groups meet regularly at various times during the week.  Most run from September to June.  Some meet on mornings, weeknights, or weekends.  These groups are a place to intentionally grow in your relationship with God and each other. • One on one or mentoring opportunities.  We believe that mentoring relationships are incredibly valuable to growing as a disciple of Jesus.  These are the spaces where we can be completely vulnerable, honest, open and transparent.  Life is a journey, as we mentioned, and is almost never linear.  Having someone to listen to you, pray for you, and help you see how God is at work in your life can equip you, encourage you, and help you grow up spiritually.
