Education

Sunday school happens after our worship service @ 11:30 am. We have classes for all ages including the adults, come and be a part of a growing community.

For Children

At Dalmeny Community Church, we strongly believe that every child is made in the image of God to love and know God with all their heart, soul and mind, to trust Jesus for a better future and to love others as the Holy Spirit leads.  Our Sunday morning curriculum, called Orange, is bible based with emphasis on how to apply what we learn in the bible at home. We also strongly believe in partnering with parents to provide our children with the best influence both at home and at church.  There are lots of opportunities to get involved and feel connected to your child’s learning!

Our Sunday morning classes start downstairs at 11:30. We run classes from September to May, with no classes for the summer, June, July, August.

First Look consists of kids age two to Kindergarten who are warmly welcomed each Sunday morning to join for a fun and faith filled learning time.  After a group bible story and worship songs, the kids have follow up activities with their small group teacher.

Club 252 is open to kids in grade one to six to come and creatively discover more about Jesus and the bible. We kick this time off each morning as a large group with fun upbeat music, a game, and then a bible story.  Afterwards, kids gather in small groups for follow-up discussion and activities.

For youth

A couple of years ago we asked the youth how we could better create a space for them to interact with the Bible and grow in their faith.  As a result of this we have a mixture of activities that take place during this time. There are stories from adults, including times of struggle and difficulty.  Important verses are then studied in more detail and then an artistic element is added which allows for processing and owning for themselves what they have heard and seen.

For adults

We have an interactive time of discussion around biblical topics using video and other teaching tools.
